3 books to read

While fictions draw your imagination and fuel your dreams, self-improvement books help you realise these dreams.

Here are 3 books I think are a must-read to start changing your life today. Mind opening.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck

A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life

By Mark Manson

This is, I find, the most accessible book out there to realise you do spend too much time caring too much. And most of the time? About things beyond your control. This book is about accepting who we are and controlling the time we spend on things we have no control over.

The 4-Hour Work Week

Escape the 9-5, Live Anywhere and Join the New Rich

By Timothy Ferriss

This is one of the first books I have read and it is by far the most practical in terms of wasting time, money and finding possibilities to do stuff outside the 9 to 5. It is kind of class book – start reading, learn what to do, how to do it and how to start doing it now. Better to have a paper version of this one for it enables you to take notes as you go.

Ego is the Enemy

The Fight to Master Our Greatest Opponent

By Ryan Holiday

Ego is what drives a part of you. Most of the time, a part of you that’s unhealthy: seeking approval, trying to impress, getting mad at people. This book helps you explore your mind and realise that your ego is against you. It may look like it’s going to be all scientific and research but actually not, you can read or listen to it so easily it’s surprising. I was reluctant originally, but what a change it can make to the way you spend your time and energy.

There are plenty of other self-improvement books out there, that are worth reading. These are the ones who really changed me the way I viewed things, and through that changed me. Oh and trust me, for the best!
